PBS has been hijacked by Libs who abuse it as their own private Liberal Indoctrination station. And we get to pay for it. Despite Mr. Roger’s impassioned plea, now that he is dead and his show nearly off the air, it is well time to remove the taxpayer support from this underhanded Lib TV brainwashing game.

Apologist Dave’s neighborhood: Blacks free to be racists and criminals and whitey just keeps their mouth shut about it because they should be suffering from White Guilt over the long ago past.
Fred Rogers will go down as an all time great and one of the most genuine individuals ever, but tastes, styles and lessons change in life. Take for example the DVD release of the first season of Sesame Street, it came with a parental warning since there were scenes acceptable back in the day no longer found to be so in this day and age (e.g. Kids playing in a junkyard).
PBS caters WAY more to animation, which grabs children's attention more than hand puppets and model trains do these days. The true shame is that this generation won't have a Mr. Rogers in their lives.

Don’t be fooled, S, it’s not that those things are really unacceptable these days –it was all quite innocent stuff. No, the only difference is that Liberals have decided for everyone that some of those things are no longer politically correct. Much of Sesame Street has been censored.
I recall one of my favs bits as a small child was their “One of These Things is Not Like the Others”. They’d show four things, such as an apple, a banana, a pear and a truck and the kids were to select which one was different from the rest. Sometimes they did it with kids’ faces, all white and one of an obviously different ethnicity. Nothing wrong with that, right? Enter the Libs and suddenly noticing even obvious differences between people is a no-no. That is, unless they’re promoting all that Lib multicultural horsecrap. Lib PC BS.
That entire show now has filthy Lib fingerprints all over it. They are brainwashing your kids, folks. And they didn’t bother asking you how you feel about it because they don’t care. “By any means necessary…”

I'm going to have to check out the DVD - too young for the first season, but old enough to remember Mr. Hooper dying and the days before Elmo. The series is further proof of how brilliant Jim Henson really was.
Let's think about it - 10 years ago "snuffy" (Don't make me spell the full name) was still an imaginary character - however in the last few years his character was changed so that everyone could see him - advocates were upset due to pediophiles and sexual abuse and the perception that adults may not believe children.
Who believes those episodes will also have a disclaimer?
Umm, DDD, the bit wasn’t called “The Black Kid Does Not Belong” it was called “One of These Things is Not Like the Others” which helped kids in perception, determining similarities and dissimilarities in groupings.

Seems to me that Dave would be more into the Tele-Tubbies seeing how their Lib creators underhandedly gayed them up.
And let us not forget how the Lib power-abusers-that-be have also censored classic cartoons which they alone have deemed unfit for human consumption in these modern Libbed PCed "sensitivity" times. From “Bugs Bunny” to the “Song of the South”, Liberals censor what we are permitted to see as much as any Commie country out there does its citizens.
It was no coincidence that the Obamers went balistic over a magazine cover cartoon, much as his Muslim brothas got upset when a silly cartoon showed their saint in a similarly poor yet realistic light. Libs themselves use cartoons to spead their Lib propaganda, from political cartoons to Doonsburry. Such Libs are all about dishonestly manipulating images to a more favorable, though innacurate view. They are actively manipulating perceptions via censorship; they’re lying to us. Coerced "sensitivity" is a censoring Liberal lie. Always.

I know you’re only kidding, S, but it is because of the Apologist Lib Daves that such classics have been censored, never to be seen again. All in the name of Lib political correction “sensitivity” that they themselves have decided what is permisable and what is not.
It goes a long way in showing just what sort of people we’re dealing with in Libs that they would censor so here in The Land Of Free Speech. Makes you wonder what else they’re hiding and lying about.
All the while they defend things such as perversion and treason as "art" and "free speech".
And let's not forget the Racial Double Standard that get regular play from them too. Blackface is outlawed but blacks are free to make offensive movies such as "White Chicks" in whiteface.
Libs’ selective censorship reminds one of Commie China or Islamic fundamentalists in the Middle East with whom we’re at war. The similarities are unmistakable.

I'm sorry, I didn't see racial intolerance when "White Chicks" hit theatres a few years back; I simply saw a bad movie I had to avoid.
randal, concerning sesame street, I am fine with the show. diano's absolutely right in his point that the early years included activities back them that would have us cringe now. My kids watch and I don't see anything offensive. A few years ago, they introduced a new "fairy" character that had people up in arms, I still don't see the big deal. I think the show makes best efforts to not offend (as it shouldn't) - there's a wide audience of young minds out there that are learning the basics in life, not debating the lib/ne-con nonsense the five of us do here.
Unless they introduce a character who sings about "It's OK to be Pre-Op and Post-Op", I'm OK with the show.

Maybe you’re just more tolerant of the underhanded Lib efforts. Or maybe you just don’t notice. But there’s no question that it’s there. It’s often subtle, slippery slopey, but constant. That’s the very nature of conditioning. Watch as some time they slip your kids an obviously gay character or Mr. Transgender pays a visit to S Street.
Some of us have a talent for being able to spot the filthy Libism in just about everything, movies, TV shows, news broadcasts, books, newspaper articles, comics, cartoons, advertisements, Dave’s posts… It’s a gift.

Actually, I remember a bit about all white faces and one Oriental kid. And it’s not like the others threw rocks at the one who was different.
E&B never bothered me. Maybe they were puppet rumphumping but they kept it in the toy box where such things belong.
I was more a Kermit kinda guy. He was smart and thoughful but misunderstood and I sympathized with him. It’s not easy being green.

I believe most black families have more historical roots than my own, I think mine started in the US around the 1850's, much later than most - so does that make more more or less american?
